Vittoria d’Aste-Surcouf * Bijoux is synonymous with luxurious design, exquisite craftsmanship and noticeable charm.  Launched in 2010 in San Francisco, California, the fine jewelry line is quickly developing collector appeal. Each piece is hand-made by designer Vittoria d’Aste-Surcouf who relies upon her training in art history and love of intricate details to create jewelry that will enhance the beauty of the woman wearing it. Vittoria's pieces are designed using nature's most brilliant materials such as platinum, gold, silver and various gemstones. Each semi- or precious gemstone is carefully selected for its quality, beauty and uniqueness.

Vittoria’s early training was in art history and she spent over six years working at various galleries and art publications in New York City. At this time, she received an M.A. in Modern Art History from Christie's Education (an affiliate of Christie's Auction House). In 2008 she began pursuing her passion for jewelry design and started her apprenticeship with a master jeweler from Athens, Greece.

Born to a Greek-American mother and a French-Italian father, Vittoria grew up entrenched in history, the classical arts and literature. A global nomad from the age of six-months, she has lived in various parts of the Middle East, France and Italy and spent her summers bouncing between France's picturesque Loire Valley and the sunny Greek islands.  From the glittering gold souks of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia to the color-saturated Old Master paintings in Europe, her fate as a designer was determined. 

Growing up around a plethora of fashion-forward women, Vittoria learned the power of accessories from a young age. "I love to create sparkling, bold and beautiful jewelry", says the designer. "My creativity is inspired by so many things from traveling with my husband to distant lands or the curve of an ancient vase...but, most importantly, my creativity is inspired by you, the wearer."
